Pastor Jim and Fran Osborne

Jim is native Oregonian, born here in Eugene to the parents of Jack and Joy Osborne.  Jim is 1972 graduate of Thurston High School.  Following a call to ministry he enrolled at Northwest Christian College (Eugene, Oregon.), graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Educational Ministries and Mission.  Furthering his ministry he attended and graduated from Texas Christian University/Brite Divinity School (Fort Worth, Texas in 1988 with a Master of Divinity degree.

 While in seminary, Jim pastored the First Christian Church of Ennis, Texas.  Jim was ordained into the Order of the Christian Ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on October 22, 1989.  He also completed 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.  Jim has served as a hospice chaplain for Vitas Innovative Hospice Care in Fort Worth, Texas and hospital chaplain for Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon.

Most recently Jim comes to Allison Park Christian Church from Athens, Alabama where he served as minister of the First Christian Church and Chaplain of the Clements Volunteer Fire Department.  Jim is married to Fran Osborne; together they have three grown sons--Roger, Matthew and Peter; four grandchildren--Austin, Brittany, Alex and Hank.  Other family members are Jonah and Gabby (their cats).  Jim's hobbies include poetry, family genealogy and community singing
